Open Source Licenses
Last updated October 2026
CoreMCR is a proprietary application that includes open-source components. We're grateful to their authors. Each component remains under its own licence; the list below summarises the main ones. The complete licence texts are included with the installed application.
Confirm this list against your shipped build before publishing — in particular the exact FFmpeg build and its codecs, since that determines FFmpeg's effective licence (LGPL vs GPL) and your distribution obligations.
| Component | Used for | Licence |
|---|---|---|
| FFmpeg | Encoding, decoding, streaming & recording | LGPL-2.1+ / GPL (depends on build) |
| Electron | Desktop application framework | MIT |
| Node.js | Application runtime | MIT |
| koffi | Native library bindings | MIT |
| vosk | On-device speech recognition (optional) | Apache-2.0 |
| QRCode.js | Phone-remote QR codes | MIT |
| Instrument Sans, DM Sans, Manrope | Typography | SIL Open Font License 1.1 |
